There are some recorded Parkers sans doll's head that were ordered by competition trap and pigeon shooters but in this case, the spindley little trigger guard gives it away as nothing more than a generic artist's rendition of a SXS

Dean is correct. An artist's rendering that is devoid of identifying details. Even early paintings that specifically identify guns by make, at least to us, include some detail errors that we find amusing. However, look at the barrel lug on the picture being discussed. Definitely a Parker. The question is "Is it a rare Parker pigeon gun with no extension, or is the absence of extension rib an artist's trick to more clearly show the shell?" I lean toward the pigeon gun choice, because the position of the extractor suggests a non ejector gun. Almost all trap guns are ejector guns, but all no extension rib guns were extractor guns. What do you think, Dean and Drew?

It could not be possibly be an A.H. Fox gun as it does not have a rib extension to engage the rotary bolt. I believe it is a custom gun built by Burt Becker's former apprentice A.N. Other...

Drew, where did the picture come from. It looks like Remington advertising except for the double gun, maybe Dupont or Hercules. Could it be out of "The Sport Alluring"? The Model 31 is easy to identify. However, the picture may be pre 1931.

The image is from the cover of the Sept., 1952 Sports Afield, and the pump shooter looks like this fella from a c. 1950 Peters ad (except now he's got an 870)
which is from a picture that was in that Handbook of Shooting book I promised you, but ended up giving to Frank Finch for the 'L.C. Smith Skeet Gun' display at the NRA meeting this summer.

Nice picture. The only thing more embarrassing to this town than the Lions is Rob Parker.Parker is a racist besides being a dumbarse on everything sports. He's still mad about them firing the last black defensive coordinator they had. He did such a wonderful job that I don't even remember his name.
