Things are improving. One of SoCal's most popular suppliers, Phillips Wholesale - http://www.phillipswholesale.com/, has had 700-X, along with a lot of others, in stock for a few weeks (the News and Updates tab lists the current inventory). Looks like waiting in line, 8 hours before opening, or shipping and Haz-Mat fees are a thing of the past. For now...

I have a friend that's a shooter that has a 4 person some kind of prop plane and we fly up and back . Last trip we came back thru Morgantown to visit a Vintage Shooter friend of his . I love flying but I gotta admit I prefer large commercial passenger planes more then small private planes
![]() CAC is almost directly across the road from the municipal airport so we fly up call them when we land they drive a pickup across the road with our stuff for an additional $10 , we load and are generally back in the air 20 minutes after we landed ! |

What are the limitations of 700-X for water fowling from a blind? I'm ready to open another keg for 1 1/8 loads, bismuth and lead. No problems with other powders, just to simplify and reduce clutter; possessions are a burden at a certain age.

Now that I think of it, I've also seen a resurgence of Federal 209 primers... my absolute favorite for any loads. I bought a brick without even batting an eye when I spotted them. Well... maybe my Visa card...

I get Cheddites for 112 a brick. It's all I've used for a number of years. We just received our club order and got a number of powders in the 8# size - Unique, Blue Dot, Green Dot, Clay Dot, Universal Clays, Int'l Clays, American Select, 700X, and 410. I wouldn't say the powder shortage isn't there, but it's getting better.
