19 pages of "the sky is falling" and there is suddenly a shortage of everything. Anyone besides me notice this is a redux of January 2013 to January 2014?

John are you saying the shortages of reloading components and ammo, espcially 22 rimfire is seasonal or not a problem you have seen or one we should be concerned about?

this thread started in March not January- less than a year ago, and has been pretty consistent, reloading supplies have been in short supply for most items in most areas. certain items have eased up a bit and the situation seems to be improving although very slowly. I expect as the hoarders have reach maximum capacity it will continue to slowly improve. But we are at the time of the year when many people load for the upcoming clays and summer shooting season. So what does show up on a shelf will be purchased quickly until everyone's stock is resupplied. the sky isn't falling - but it isn't all sunshine yet either

I think the mentality is more of get what you can while you can befor the price goes up further. A month ago or so while visiting my parents I stopped in a store and bought three lbs of PB and one of 7625 and one of Clay Dot. They had primers for $36/1000 so I bought 4K. Yesterday I went to my local store which is usually well supplied with reloading supplies (they have two locations) and picked up 8lbs of 20/28. I looked at their primer cost $59/1000
I also added a lb of H414 but they had no H380 or IMR 4350

Rich, that is an awful high price on primers. Cheaper to have them shipped even with hazmat fees. Powder Valley has Cheddite 209's for $24 per 1000. Mid South Shooters Supply has them for $25.20 and Federal 209's for $27.25. Winchester 209's are more, $39.99 per $1K at Natchez.

Pete that what I thought as well. Their powder prices arn't bad but the primers holy crap.
Fed Ex just dropped of the 7-08 cases, not cheap but I have 50 for this new rifle and that should last me for a long time. My thanks again to you for the link.
