I have two English 1880's Birmingham 10 gauge damascus shotgun. The exterior of the guns are in good condition however the barrels are pitied and I'd like to line the barrels and convert them to 12 gauge. Contacted Briley and they declined the job. Do some of you have a gunsmith you would recommend for this project?
Briley would decline your job, not because it is a Damascus gun, but because a ten to twelve tube would have very thin barrel walls. Briley's website no longer lists tubes for ten gauge guns. When they offered to tube ten gauge guns, the tubes were sixteen gauge. I don't know anyone who offers the service you mention.
