Default SN 4118 and case

People ask about finding an original case. These old walnut cases are the only known true originals. Here is SN 4118, equivalent to the later D grade, and its case, courtesy of a friend.

For later guns, the best one can do is find a period correct case, although some trunk cases were originally made for Parkers, as they have accomodation for the rib extension. I've shown pictures before of one I have like that.

Very nice indeed. If you go to the"All Albums"link on this site and look under Grade 2 Lifter 11 gauge Dean has posted some nice photos of a friend of our's high condition hammergun in the same type of case. Great stuff...

Bruce,

That is a beautiful Parker and the engraving is the best I've seen of a dog that I can remember. I have been taken with the wooden case of Parker and would love to find one with or without its occupant.

Harry
A friend of mine in Ca has a nice D grade 10 ga lifter in the original walnut case that was displayed at Vintagers last year. Send me an email if you want to talk to him.

I shudder to think what our friend George's price might be......

Hello Destry & Steve: This is one of those things that I really don't care whether I sell it or not but it comes with SN 01248. Not quite as nice as Bruce's but totally original. I also have SN 0229 that I'm kind of proud of as well.

Best Regards, George

George,Did these guns used to belong to Ed Muderlak? Those serial numbers ring a bell.

Sounds like a couple nice opportunities for a Parker collector, George. Although I have not purchased anything from you, I've always found your prices to be fair. Again, the cased early lifter is not mine, but belongs to a good friend who declines to post here.
