A Lefever 8 sold at auction a few years ago for a song. I found out about it after the fact, unfortunately.

I would like to own a LC Smith 8ga. but they seem very pricey in similar condition compared to Parker and Lefever 8's.
Mills good luck on the Widgeon BH but Mark Kircher would make it very expensive for you

In sixty some years of hunting for Parkers, I have never had a wish list or a shopping list. I pick them as I see them. Using this system, I have actually found a few.

While I go along with that , at this point in my life I need to be a bit more selective and pass by some I wouldn’t have earlier .

Have you seen than LC Smith 8 gauge on GB ? Looks like the seller went down 7k on his asking price within a week now at 32k. Although Im pretty sure what would be like the sister gun to it sold at auction in 2017 for around 21k it was engraved with a woodcock instead of a quail though.

I don't plan on bidding against Mark. I just want to see it.

Milton, can you post an item number or link to the 32K L.C. Smith eight? I can't find it on gunbroker.

I think my own wants have lessened since my original post . A Remington era 20 gauge skeet to match the 12 I have and a 20 gauge V or D that’s 32” and choked tight . Now day after tommorrow that could and most likely will change again

That 8 gauge Smith is in a shop close by that I frequent often. I have known Howell since the 80's and bought several guns there. Have not been by there lately but will have to see if I can get over and take a look. Way out of my price range but would be interesting to see. My wish list is on hold until I sell my Remington 1894 CE 10 gauge. It is a very tight shooting gun but in too nice a condition for me to use. I like the older well used or customized guns for less money. I figure they must have been well liked by someone because they were well used and a good shooter. When the wish list is back in action a Remington 32 is on the list. I am very much into Maine deer rifles and have always wanted to re-bore a Winchester 100 to 358...thats on the list too. The top wish is a happy and healthy year for my family, friends and myself....
