Charlie, I also have a steel barrel Lefever ten that weighs 7 pounds 8 ounces. It is some unusual gun. I have not measured the wall thickness because it is in unmolested condition and is as it came from the factory. Some day I will run the Manson gauge down the barrels. It has 28" barrels and is an F or G Grade as I remember. I have never carried this gun in the field, but it would be a pleasure to carry. It is also bored full and modified and will kill a cockbird at 50 yards without a problem.

bill i have a soft spot for those old lefevers...your gun would be a pleasure to tote and shoot...i really like the sound of those 28 in barrels...32 are my favorite lentgh of barrels...but in the field when walking i prefer the shorter barrels...i bet aload of 4 1/4 and a 1 1/4 ounce of lead would make a rooster mighty unhappy settiny on the dinner table..... charlie

Gents, While here in Fla Daryl Middlebrook and myself have committed a cardinal sin, of which we must seek repentence from the man above, We have been shooting english guns, yes I am afraid the deed has been done! But what fun, we are shooting 28gs hammer guns he a holland and holland which I might add he stole from the auction Co. I a William Atkinson. His is damascus, and mine steel, we are shooting his loads very low pressure, thank goodness no other Parker guys have seen us shooting these vile sporting pieces, but no problems with any barrels, but for the important part he hits most of his birds, but I believe my barrels must be bent a tad for I seem to miss a lot and of course it could not be my aim!must go for now for it is George Dickle time.

I voluteer to mete out the punishment for Gary's and Darryl's inexcusable indiscretions. I say they send me the offending English weapons as punishment. I will return them when..... well, when I feel like it I guess... I might agree to lessen the punishment if they agree to post numerous pictures of these 'vile' guns. I'm sure they're horrid looking little sticks.

Gary, please tell Daryl for me that I would really like to see his little Holland and Holland 28 ga. hammer gun and if he'll be at Hausman's in June to please bring it with him.

Best, Dean
