I have the trade edition. I have a backlog of hunting books to read.

My copy is also one of the 5000 and has a slip case; however, someone repaired it with masking tape years ago. Always meant to get around to trying to repair it...

Mills, we have many of ARs books. He was a mentor and teacher of Susan's father at Mercersburg Academy. Took him bird watching and arrowhead hunting. Her father passed the books on to her. At least one has a sentiment written in it. We also have a sketch done by AR somewhere. It hasn't been unpacked for almost 16 years, but it's here somewhere!

I'd sure like to see that sketch...

It’s called “Poling to the blind”. When we find it I’ll post a photo. Or maybe it’ll be on a cover of The Parker Pages?

The title of our journal is Parker Pages not "The Parker Pages" or "the Parker Pages" as we have so often seen it.

We don't say "the Field & Stream" or "the Outdoor Life" or "the Gray's Sporting Journal" or "the Shooting Sportsman" so why do so many people say "the Parker Pages"?

It just ain't right I tell ya, it just ain't right...

Such a sketch by a noteworthy Parker owner from the past would be a great cover. Too bad we don't have a really good photo of his Parker. I've seen at least one photo that includes the gun, but not with much detail as I recall.

Call me crazy but someone should rename it The Parker Pages. It has that certain je ne sais quoi like when a football player announces his alma mater:

THE Ohio State University
THE University of Florida
THE Parker Pages! Field and Stream and Outdoor Life are low lives compared to this publication anyways, they can't possibly pull off the "THE."

May i submit the notion that in many folks minds our publication is a stand alone among like journals. Hence THE is used to differentiate it from all lesser efforts. Perhaps it is a compliment.
