You only had to see the ads that Dick's was running during the holiday season to know what's wrong with the company. The management team is obviously more interested in making sure folks have a fashionable workout outfit than anything else.

Phil, a good friend of mine owned an Orvis store. He made more money on socks and belts and shirts than on guns and ammo. It wasn't even close. I think the small gun shops operate on small margins due to internet sales. Clothes are different, most folks want to see them, feel them, try them on. I think Dicks keeps the shareholders happy selling Chinese made clothing. That's fine, I just won't use them.

I don't doubt it, especially considering the prices Orvis gets for their stuff ! Just pointing out the change of management direction of a "sporting goods" company while trying to stay as PC as possible ...
