I don't want to distract from your thread. You have a very interesting gun and it deserves all the attention you and her can get.
Yes I did get a letter/ or it was sent to me when I purchased the gun. Well worth the money. Mine #72575 is a two barrel set grade three fish tail top lever ten gauge made on a #2 frame. Both sets of barrels were ordered 28". One set lighter in weight than the other. the gun was ordered by Mr Edward Burton of Mass. His initals are in the stock oval and the shield at the top of the grip. She has a matching cousin ordered the same way but later on by Mr Burton. This twin is shown many times in the Parker Story and you can see EB engrave in the grip shield as is in mine. Sir you have a very desirable gun and I hate that you have to part with her but wish you all the luck in finding her a good home and a good deal for you as well. I can't afford the gun so it does not really matter what I think. But, I would like to see it with the metal cleaned, barrels redone to match the frame and a wood doctor bring some color out of the wood. If the cherckering and side panels have use were,I'd leave the character there. See if it couldn't b made to look somewhat like Bruce's Bernard hammer up above. Or it is wonderful just as it is. Hammer guns, well if I had to sell my motor sickle or my hammer gun... ch

those 2 frame barrels seem lite for a 10 ga the first set of barrels at 4.4 they usally range around 5.6 the 2nd set of 36 inch barrels at 5.7 is really light i have a 30 inch set of barrels that go7 .14...this gun would make a good turkey gun with those long barrels....charlie
