Thanks to Dean for the great Parker Pages and thanks to my neighbor, Tom Breeden, for his Fred Gilbert article. I guess Tom talked Dean into beating the DGJ pay scale.

The credit goes to Tom for never raising that topic... to which I would necessarily have had to say "Parker Pages does not compensate for material submitted, sorry."

I'm very glad that Tom chose to have Parker Pages publish his well-written historical article rather than another publication.

So, Dean, you apparently equalled the compensation scale and won the coin toss.

I found George Purtill's artical very interesting esp in that a retired Parker employee recut the checkering in a higher grade pattern therefor IMHO it's factory work. Never say never. Beautifull guns George and a great history to go with them.

I haven't gotten to Mills hunting tale yet but is he trying to get us to believe he shot 4 doves with 4 shells

Rich, It was more than 4 doves and more than 4 shells. The number of shells increased more than the number of birds. Full disclosure

Seriously, I thought the issue was well done, my article aside.

Just got mine yesterday and I'm a contributor so don't feel bad.

Dean as always you do a stellar job of getting it all together and making sense out of the stuff we contributors send.
Got two more for you in process Dean-o.

My copy finally arrived today. Thank you Dean and all the contributors for much hard work. A good many people take for granted the amount of work in even one article and one single publication. Lots of work while others of us are out hunting! Dove season is back in Tuesday so we can shoot those plump Northern birds y'all are sending us our way. No small gauges will be needed now; long barreled 12s.
