Brian ,I was thinking with the Barrel weight ,it may in fact be a 16 Ga. # 1 Frame Gun or possibly a # 1 Frame 12 ?? As for the owner knowing ,Maybe/ Probably ,but I just recently purchased a Miller @ Val Greiss Drilling and thought I was buying a 28 Ga. Ends up it is a 24 Ga.! And like a Dummy ,I even admit to it on the internet !

If that is in fact a 12 there's little chance it would break $1000.

I agree with Greg. The forearm shows some serious field use. Heavy G Grade Damascus guns are great shooters, but only have collector value when in fairly high condition.

32 inch tubes could add some desireability with some perspective buyers. Have seen some recently selling for as low as $800

Now, if it is a 16g with 32 inch barrels, that would be a game changer.

Don't measure them again, they might end up as 28". Lol.
Just kidding.

no kidding!! Can you suggest a sensible way to attempt a sale of the gun? I know there are a great many websites for advertising guns, but was not sure if this market might have more specific strategies. thanks

Tom , You can become a PGCA member and list it for sale in the private for sale section for members only . Of course now we all know your intent of this gun . So it will be what it is !!!

Other than this site or the double gun shop forum, you can try gunbroker.
