#9 gets my vote. A straight stock and its a 20! That would be in the Grouse woods with Daisy and me in a heartbeat.

My horrid attorney friend asked if there were any spectacular guns at the Fall Southern. He was expecting me to say some great Purdy's or Holland and Holland's etc. I told him the gun that held my attention was the A grade 20 gauge lifter Parker, #5 above.

I just could not pick an overall favorite gun. Each one had its own winning qualities.

As far as engraving goes, in the hammerless guns I went for the #1 gun with the deep relief. Just commands your appreciation.


For the hammer guns I chose #7 for its rectangular and oval panels for the game scenes, and the geometric accents. Kind of an engraving sampler.

Harry, you could have told him that you must have had the best guns since you sold all but one.
