I have two also and though they were made after the purchase, they were made in Meriden. If anything they have nicer wood for the grade than the pre-purchase guns. I think Remigton was trying to prove up on the Parker name by putting showy wood on V grades, etc. I wouldn't hesitate at all and many of those guns, being newer, are in higher condition as well. The Remington made Parkers have some differences in form and finish over Meriden made guns. But the quality is the same.
From a standpoint of collectability, the Remington guns very much so. Not many were made as production figures and sales were low for the period before and during Remington ownership. Actual annual totals are not known for the years 1939 - 1942, but the total for those 4 years is 1,332 guns or about 340 per year with basic division. I think that any Parker collector would like to have the chance to put a Remington made gun into their collection. And a skeet gun no less... sounds like a good find to me if the condition of the gun supports it. I would think that the probability of a Remington Parker being in better overall condition that a earlier Meriden gun is better since it is newer.

The few Parker employees who moved from Meriden to Ilion will tell you unequivocally that the Ilion-built Parkers were better-built guns. Reread the discussions on the development of the 1/2 frame gun.
