The real stars of the flurry were Dr. Truitt with Dave Fjelline loading for him. John shot 107 targets. Awesome. Second place was some distance back. At the end the guns were so hot a wet towel just sizzled.

A few photos attached below.

John the "some other dude" Truitt did indeed shoot like a madman to achieve 105 broken targets of 200 thrown in 4 minutes at the flurry with paired guns. Dave "The California Champ" Fjelline loaded for John and started out with two shell pouches and two boxes of shells in each. At just past the halfway point Dave motioned to add more shells. I dumped in two more boxes and went back to the cart for more. By the time I had gotten back with another two boxes, Dave had emptied another pouch so I dumped in another 25. I looked over at the "Dude" and he looked as though he had made it through a round with Mike Tyson, taking punches to the shoulder while juggling flaming hot skillets. I swear his left glove was smoking!! I regret that we did not get it on video...would have make a great u-tube. My best guess is that John fired about 150 rounds in 4 minutes. That's an average of 1 shot every 1.6 seconds. The "Dude" is my hero.

Hey, there's no faint praise in this bunch.

Photo 2: Dave and Dan posing with Ray and receiving accolades for their achievement of breaking 140 targets in the two-man team on the flurry. John and Carl were loaders again this year. "Elsie" Dan and "Parker" Dave were also the winners of this event last year where they set the all-time high score for this event of 151 targets broken out of 200 thrown in 4 minutes. This years targets were thrown in a different setting with long loopers and screaming quartering shots as compared to last year's all driven targets.

Thanks Carl. You are the man.
It was definitely a team effort.

I wish I could say I did it with a pair of Parkers. Instead they were Dave and Dans Winchesters.
The pounding those guns took is incredible. I would hate to put an original Parker thru that.

I wonder if a pair of repros could take the punishment of that flurry event?
Are they silver or lead soodered?
