What a wonderful 16. I vacillate between CE a XE engraving as my Fox favorite. After looking this one over, I’d say the XE.

What will you use it for—Texas wild Bobs, I hope.

My guess is that beautiful Fox is going to get to share a short boat ride with Nellie and get a chance to harvest a duck or 2 this fall.

The sweet spot for American doubles for me are the Fox XE's and Parker BH's prior to WW!.

Congrats on another fine small bore. I hope you bring it to Georgia in January.
I have some 3/4 oz RST 16's along, perfect for Quail and an XE 16

Very nice Craig! I was drawn to the eschetuen, I think i blew the spelling, but is this a snap on forend ejector like the Sterlingworth? I've never seen one on graded Foxes, except for Sterly customs such as Phil Carr's 20.

My Fox A grade 20ga has the snap off forend; I don’t know what years they were made that way.

The snap on Kremer designed forend was used from about 1912 to 1915 on the graded Fox small bores.

In the graded 20-gauge guns I've recorded snap-on/-off forearms through about the first 700. In graded 16-gauge guns I haven't recorded any guns in the 3005xx and 3006xx range and by the 3007xx range I see Deeley latches. Actually 300590 has a Deeley latch but it has been so completely CSMC'd that I don't count it.

Not to say I haven't recorded a handful of Deeley latches in these ranges.
