Hey I have no question with Turnbull being the best, Doug has done great work for me, restoring a couple of guns that he said he would never do again...(I have a Colt SA that he wanted to refuse but didn't and now it is factory "mint" he also told me he would not do another one in that kind of shape ! )....When the poster asked I thought who was close that maybe he did not want to ship the gun so Brad came to mind as he has done work for me and it has been done very well.

Turnbull is good but Brad is very good also, I have had great results with both gentlemen. I do not believe that Turnbull does Damascus Barrels, again both are excellent.

If Doug doesn't refinish Damascus barrels in house, he surely sends them to an expert.

One thing I noticed is Brad hasn't posted here in a while....I miss seeing his before / after pictures of the Damascus barrel refinish. Business must be real good with all the referrals and repeat business he gets from current customers. Maybe he'll chime in sometime soon and post some of his latest projects.

Brad is too busy to post here due to him working on my Parkers!
Brad is due to soon return my favorite fowling piece, a #2 Frame EH 10 gauge. It will sport redone damascus barrels and case hardening/colors. I will of course turn my trusty Nikon loose and post the results.

With a little luck I'll be shooting the EH at Hidden Hollow for the Great Northeast SxS Classic. See you there!

In order to help direct you to a gunsmith for your BHE 20 what are the repairs that need to be done? Different smith's shine in different areas. You (or at least I wouldn't) want to send stock work to someone known for barrel work.
