I have experienced the same thing with a couple of my guns. I am pretty certain gunk is the cause. Give it a good cleaning, put it back together, add a drop of oil and you'll probably be good to go.

Hi guys

When I stripped the gun down and checked the pin and plunger the spring was missing. so I am going down the road of replacing it I will let you know how it goes.
