Robin ,I looked in TPS also and could find nothing ! I did a search on our site and found a couple of threads but no good clear information ! Interesting option on a shotgun in my opinion ,although for long hikes back in to a good hidden area ,I could see where they could be a plus but in the actual hunt I believe I would remove the sling and put it in my Game Bag !!

Russ the pictures Larry sent are from the gun I mentioned. Saves me the big dig into the back of the safe

The Europeans put swivels on shotguns but it's a rare request this side of the pond. Maybe the original owner was a waterfowler (although my gun is a 20) or perhaps an immigrant from Europe where the swivels were more common. I hope your letter will address this option.

In the Fox records there are a few orders for sling swivels throughout, but most are on guns in the large orders by Martin Kohn the big dealer in Havana and L.H. Hagen the dealer in Norway.

I have seen several Parker orders for swivels, but have not tied an order to a gun. I think the European barrel mount with screws and Winchester style hook loops and the screwed in hook loop on the stock are the most likely original type.
