How do you send the winner of something on eBay a message? I thought they blocked this information..

Auctions are funny things , I went to a Local Auction a few years back where they had quite a few Boxes of 410 Shells ,they weren't antique shells but the exact ammo you could purchase at Walmart for $11.97 a box at the time ,they were bid up $21.00 a Box and they were divided up at that price by whatever quantity you wanted to who ever put their hand up ,and they went like Hot Cakes ! Imagine if the bidding would have stopped at $5.00 ,they would have all got them at that price !

Friend of mine bought a small electronic part off eBay. Arrives at his door few days later in Amazon box. Sure he bought off eBay not Amazon starts looking. eBay Seller listed the item, never had it in his possession. Filled the order by buying the part from Amazon & having it shipped to my friend.

It’s a new world out there.

Awhile back, I had a popular auction house sell two 15 round boxes of mil spec 8mm Mauser cartridges for me. They were made in the late 70s, and cost no more than $7.00 per box. The highest bidder paid $140.00 for those two little boxes!

They do now. You used to be able to communicate directly but I guess they figured there were too many back door deals going on so they stopped it. You used to see the names of the bidders; now it's just a code number.

There was a Fox HE that sold during the Super Bowl two years ago with cut barrels that brought over 14K. The belief was two drunks were bidding against each other. As the old saying goes it only takes 2.

Remember the junky hammer gun a year or so ago that, if you scrolled all the way to the last picture on Gunbroker, came with an original case?

Maybe this buyer will get lucky, as Mark says, and find a gun in the case when it arrives

Maybe that was a bad description to use. Let's say the Gunbroker photos did not do much for it . . . until you got to the last photo
