I would also like to say thanks to Dave for putting the event together, it was the most fun I have had in a long time. It was great meeting Dave, Larry and Dean who I chat with from time to time on the site. I would also like to say thanks to Robin, Pete and Scott from NH, great guys who made us feel like part of the family and gave us some great shooting tips. My neighbor Ezra did shoot great but don't let Scott's modisty fool you, he showed us how it was done! Well done Dave. Thanks guys.

Dave, thanks for inviting Scott and I down we had a good time. You did a superb job of herding cats and making it happen. As much fun as it is to revel in the Fox Collectors agony they seemed to be a great bunch and brought a great sense of humor with them. I think it must be pointed that although Team Parker won the war the Fox group won a tactical victory with Paul Plunkett shooting a 71 which took high-gun. Speaking of Team Parker who were the top five shooters? I believe it was Scott (69), myself (66) and Larry (65), but I don't recall the names and score of the other two. In hindsight we should have taken a team picture with all of us having a foot on the chest of the Fox Team captain laying on the ground

From the Fox site:

Addieville Fox vs Parker Challenge Results
by TOOL MAN » Sat May 15, 2010 9:31 pm

It is with a contrite heart that I must announce Team Fox's stunning defeat at the hands of the Matrons of Meriden. Final score was Parker 327.....Fox 309. The old adage, that every dog has his day, tragically came to fruition, on the grounds of Addieville East Farm. Despite our best efforts to secure the sacred, $50 bill ( as highly regarded as The Masters' green jacket) it was not meant to be. In a staged ceremony, reminiscent of General Wainwright's surrender to the Japanese at Corrigidor, Fox team captain
Toolman, was humiliated into "forking over" the crisp $50,to Parker co-captain Larry Frey, in what is sure to be the subject of an
11 month,Parker propoganda campaign.

As team captain, I will accept full responsibility for the loss. Unfortunately my own shooting performance ranked somewhere between wussy-pop and pantywad. Hats -off to fellow team member,Foxist, who scored hi-gun of the event, with a brilliant 71.

And if the sting of losing wasn't painful enough, I also had to deal with a wreckless act of vandalism. Upon returning to my vehicle after the match had ended, I was aghast to see a Parker Gun Collectors Assoc. sticker, affixed permanently to my side, rear window!!!! Trust me when I say that window will be removed or the car will be on EBAY by Monday afternoon.

Thanks to my team Fox members for representing our fine organization: Paul and Bill Plunkett, Rob Orris and Tim Kesleski.

To Team Parker, it is with the utmost humility that I tip my hat and congratulate you on your victory. I wouldn't advise depositing that FIFTY in a long-term CD, however. Remember these words, oh Matrons of Meriden, for they are a harbinger of what lies ahead:

"I fear all that we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve...."

Thanks John. A little breezier than we like but it kept the black-flies away.
