Jay - A replacement stock would have the SN running in the opposite direction as the one shown in Bruce's picture.
Larry - Yes there are a few early upgrades out there that are marked as you describe. Also look for Bob Runge's initials (RPR) in "microscript" also hidden in the engraving tableau, usually at the base of a rock or a tuft of grass. Bob's initials are not always present, however, on the very early upgrades (those done before they began marking them on the watertable).

I'm bringing this thread back up to report that I spoke with Lawrence DelGrego at length yesterday about a Parker that's for sale locally, and he told me DG has always stamped replacement stocks in the TG inlet with the same orientation as the factory did. Not at 180-degrees. I referred Lawrence to what I'd previously read on this thread about the 180-degree orientation and in no uncertain terms he said it's incorrect. Just trying to help and that's all I know.
