I saw one nearly identical in a small gun shop yesterday. I thought it might be Parker but I could find no markings. It was cheap enough so I may buy it on my next visit.

Not to change the subject of this thread but the same shop had a bag full of brass hulls. They seemed to be in good shape and were headstamped "Winchester No. 12". There might have been a dozen in the bag for $20 I believe. If anyone is interested I could pick them up.

Edgar, I wanted to ask you if your BGI closer is marked BGI or has any other markings such as patent dates. I seem to remember that photos of a number of BGI closers that were marked but I don't own any and am not sure of this.

Gary if you do indeed buy that closer and it is substantially similar please post some photos and note any markings for me please.
Thanks,
Erick

Erick, I'm pretty sure it is marked B. G. I. Co. But I'm in Baltimore and it's in CT. I'll check and report back when I get home.

With the exception of the lower priced 'Eureka' product line, all of my BGI items are marked, most often including the part/model number. I do have a few tools that bear strong resemblances to illustrations in catalogs, but are unmarked. I also have two boxed sets with hardware store labels that contain tools that are obviously BGI (at least I would be willing to bet on it!).
