Hi Dave,
Yep!!!--The coach is working great. I too missed being at the Greenwich show.
I am hoping to get to the Hausmann shoot in June.

Jeff, Do you shoot it?--And, do you know of, or have you seen others?

Daryl,
I haven't shot it, but intend to.
Wm. Wagner of Washington DC actually ordered two 8 ga. at the same time. 54654 was a G hammer and 54653 was a P Hammer. Both guns had 38" barrels. The G was 3/4 lb heavier than my P, so I assume that it was a 7 frame also. One month after recieving the guns, he returned them to be rechambered to 4". He must have been planning to put a lot of black powder in them.

The #7 frame is the common frame of 8 gauge top action hammer guns. They are not rare or unusual for these guns. The #6 frame is the norm for 8 gauge hammerless guns. I have not seen a #7 frame hammerless gun. I don't know what frame is used for 8 gauge lifter guns.

TPS p. 527 for table of frames/gauges
p. 528 bottom left for hammerless 8ga/frame size 7.
