Mills, I wish it wasn't that way...but I'm very hard on my stuff. This way it will be perfect for the rest of my days.

You boys bought 'em, you use 'em however you want. I had some much fun with this one I might see what I can do for the LC Smith boys.

Thanks for the effort Destry, looking forward to Christmas in August or September.
That is why I ordered two, one for a vest, the other to be matted and framed.

I did buy three of the sweaters, one patch may go on one of them. If not I have a very nice vest I purchased from Tony at CSMC.

I'd had several requests from folks about a possible smaller, less expensive patch. Done in this style, old school with the chainstitch embroidery, it's just not possible.

I spoke with my manufacturer, we even looked at a design I worked up with lettering only. Even with far less details, the smallest they can get it and get any lettering sharpness would be 8.5 inches long.

I did some checking around on another old style of embroidery that would have worked for sure but had some very bad new. It looks like the last manufacturer who was running a Schiffli Swiss Loom has had their last employee who knew how to operate it retire. The call for emblems made that way is almost non-existent anymore, so rather than train somebody new, they've dropped it from their line. If there's anybody else in the US running one I can't find them. I called all the places I knew who used to and most of them didn't even know what I was talking about, it was so far gone.

That is officially the end of an era and made me kinda sad to tell the truth. Most of smaller size old time gun club patches would have been Swiss Loom manufacture, everything from this point forward will be that flat ugly computer stitch crap.

I was trying to add a video of the patch making machinery but it's not working sadly.
