The wild quail population in my area of Georgia and SC is abysmal. There are lots of opinions about why it happened, but the longer you listen the more you realize nobody really knows. Hopefully they will come back one day.

When I first moved into my present home in Lexington, South Carolina @ 30 years ago there were at least 3 large coveys of wild Bob White quail in the 150 acre pasture behind my house. Today there are none. I don't know why either!

i used to work on a quail plantation .
from what I seen hawks would massacre the quail population .
To bad we don't have a hawk season, really they are just a coyote with wings

I was going to have my neighbor's cat stuffed, but I was afraid that Linda would invite her over for coffee some day. My plan was trashed when I started to see "Have you Seen Fluffy?" posters around the neighborhood. I kept looking, but I never was able to find Fluffy.
