I use an Excel spreadsheet I created and I have recorded all the details of each gun. When acquired, cost, estimated value, etc. I am now thinking it might be a good idea to record some details of memorable hunts, trophies won etc. Those notes would let the gun "talk" after I am gone, silly maybe, but it is something I wish all mine could do of the days before I owned them.
