To re-mount the barrels on an 1889, just drop them onto the hinge pin almost at 90 degrees to the action face (maybe about 5 degrees toward it), then turn them up while you push the top lever to the right so that the locking bolt retracts and allows the barrel lump to turn in.
Give it a go gently, don't force anything. You'll get the "trick" quickly.
