Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Barrel Inclusion
I'm posting this pic of an inclusion in my barrel that was discovered as they were being prepped for coloring. These are twist barrels. The inclusion is 13" from the breech. I would like some thoughts on this.

If it were mine I wouldn't be especially concerned about it. I had a Ruger Red Label that had a mildly defective seam where the barrels were sleeved to the breech block and the weld wasn't complete... not that you could actually see the fault, but whenever I shot the gun a small amount of oil (from the previous cleaning) would seep from the pressure of the discharge of the shell, through the seam. Ruger actually told me it was nothing to worry about and refused to replace my barrels.
When I magnify your picture I can see several other such "inclusions" and I really wouldn't worry. It has lived this long without 'unwinding' and it will most certainly live longer than any of us (if reasonable care is used in the shells you shoot).
Just my 'humble opinion'.
