Christmas.......
A few ducks appeared in Southern Illinois over the Christmas holidays. My father and I got out together Christmas Eve and did well. We were hunting on Mr. Russell's farm and were pleased to get the invite as always.
I managed to make a couple more hunts myself, Dad couldn't go because of all the snow piling up where he works. He's the head of building and grounds at a small college so when the white stuff shows up he's stuck organizing the plowing crews.
Gadwalls, Mallards, and Hollywood Ducks were in abundance:
