"Fence post", "push-pole", "Tomato stake", "Canoe paddle", "Pry bar",... many names have been applied over the decades.

We are probably not being very kind, the kind of gun in his picture is useful in that has a similiar purpose as a cross over stock, only in this case the gun was built to accomodate a shooter who has one eye over the other.
