Tom, I tried to buy the VH .410 with PHD marking. As I recall, there was some failed negotiation in the $2500 range. I really liked the gun but in those days, a $100 or $200 difference in asking and selling price was a big deal. I may be wrong, but I think the owner at that time has initials "CB". Now that I think back, the price being argued was probably $1200 versus $1500 rather than $2500.

Does that mean they can only be used for varmint shooting in PA? I was hoping to shoot bridge pigeons in CT.

Bill, I think this might just work for groundhogs.

Not exactly regulation height and distance for ATA targets but then again, the ATA doesn't register squirrels or groundhog averages

FYI, I stopped in Cabala's in Hamburg Pa. on Tuesday and they had what looks like the PHD VH .410 that ahfoxman talked about. It's not currently on their web site. It was in their display case and I didn't get to handle the gun. It looks visually perfect with just a little fading on the case colors but it looked great. I didn't write down the exact price since it was way over my price range but it was somewhere between 30K and 40K.

Chuck, It may not be the exact same gun. My understanding is that the PHD order was for multiple 28 and .410 gauge guns.
