The word from Atwood KS is mixed...good hatch...smaller clutches, early mowing of fields did not help. He did say south of 70 was the worst drought areas. We need a break out there for the birds to do better!. CRP losses will be very hard on the wild birds also. I see most of the farm bill money goes for food stamps...80% check it out.....SXS ohio
I love to go to the places everyone avoids because of bad reports. A good dog and next to no competition equals birds in the bag. And if it really is a disaster, a cold beer after a long hike is always good.
