Tom, I never use glue to reattach encaps to a case; I handsew everything. The only time I use glue is to layer up handle filler strips when I'm making a custom handle or when I need to firmly set the "butterfly" type handle loops in place before I stitch them on. These come up and over the top of the case and go down the sides about an inch and a half, so there is no way to hold them in place as you try to stitch the margin lines. Glue has probably ruined more cases than rendered them usable again. Stay away from it unless there is absolutely no alternative; it's a mess to work with and NEVER dries "clear", as most manufacturers claim.
