Gustav,
Are you sure the barrels are 28"? Dave quoted the serialization book as showing 30" barrels. If the barrels were cut 2" it would affect the guns value significantly. Try to post pictures of the muzzle from the top and end.

To everyone who has replied - Thanks, I appreciate your input.

To follow up-
I do not have photo's as I do not own this Parker...it is for sale locally.

I will take a tape measure and check myself the barrel lenght asap. I was told "28 inch" but, owner could be incorrect.

As mentioned before, should I purchase this Damascus gun, I will need to locate a gunsmith who is willing to examine it...my local smith is not comfortable with Damascus.

Based on what I've mentioned and the fact that this is a "fairly common" Parker...what do you think about the $1,500 price?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Gustav,Without at least seeing some good pictures of the gun the guy's here(my self included) are going to be pretty wary of giving out a value "sight unseen". I could be worth $300 or $3000.00 hard to tell....
