Dean,
I believe when the selector is in the forward position the left barrel is fired.

I agree with Mr Truitt with regards to a Parker single trigger guns ability to be converted to double triggers using the original floor plate. I have a 12 gage with double triggers that has the same L in the front and R to the rear of the left trigger and it definitely sports its original floor plate.

Why the L & R by the double triggers? The safety also has a R-S-L. That makes sense but why the letters at the triggers?

Chuck,Could this gun have had a Parker single trigger installed at the factory ie: L&R on the trigger plate then converted to a Miller single trigger ie: L-S-R on the safety. Don't know much about release triggers could they be selected to fire left or right barrels first?
