Default 1st. Post - Please tell me about my Parker

Good Morning Parker Enthusiasts. This is my first post so please don't flame me if I fail to follow proper etiquette.

My father-in-law died several years ago and we thought that we had found all of his firearms. When I was looking through one of his outbuildings a month ago, I came across a slightly rusty, double barrel shotgun. After cleaning it up with 4/0 steel wool I found the name Parker Bros. on the rib along with the Connecticut manufacturing address.

I cannot make out the type of barrel it has although it looks to be either twisted steel or a Damascus barrel. The gun breaks down easily and, based upon PCGA indicators, here is the other information:

-Frame size= 2
-Weight= 49
-Grade= P
-Serial No.= 825** (which I think is 1895-1896 production year)
-Barrel Length= 32 inches

It has ejectors that protrude when the gun is opened. It does not have the checkered stock. It has, what looks to be, a plain walnut stock in good condition with a hard plastic butt plate with the name Fajen on it.

I haven't had the oppoprtunity to take pics of the gun to post here but hope you can tell me what I have and maybe an estimated value.

Thanks for your input,
Tom

Someone will soon ask you for the serial number of the gun so that it can be looked up.

the pictures will help as well, Fajen was a company that sold semi-inletted replacement stocks for many years, which would explian the lack of checkering

what is the condition of the barrel's bores? do you know the gauge?

what you seem to have is a P grade with 32 inch barrels which you know.

The barrel bores look to be in good shape. I can see two small pits in the left barrel and none in the right. I do not see any rust and none was found when thoroughly cleaning the bores.
