Colt in Hartford is nothing but a highly valuable trade name.
What is under the Blue Onion Dome ( a gift from a Tsar I believe) has nothing to do with guns. The original Rampant Colt was sold to a speculator group, but may have been bought back by the state and is now in the CT Museum in the Supreme Court building. That museum is worth a trip, in my opinion. |

At one point Larry Wilson claimed to own the original Colt, but I believe it came back to the state. More than I can say for some of the fine Colts that he 'borrowed' from the state library.

I remember reading somewhere that the "Rampant Colt" was brought back and restored and is now back in its original location atop the factory building. Am I wrong in this? Don't know....
