Fitted Wooden cases for Parker hammer guns
I own (and have seen others) a wooden case for my top lever hammer gun. The usual setup is a compartment for the barrels, butt stock and the forennd has its own place as well. there are 24 holes for shells and a compartment for whatever.
the wood appears to be walnut.
were these sold or made by Parker? if not by who?
it is very nicely made and still quite square and tight.

As far as we know, these were made by Parker Bros, although it's possible these were made by a subcontractor. Regardless, they were cataloged and sold by Parker. I'm sure you appreciate that these are rare and valuable. There is discussion of these cases in TPS.
Maybe post photos of yours?
