As we've discussed before, barrel and gun makers could call their patterns pretty much whatever they wanted, so let's call this "Bachelder"

I've never seen that pattern Brad, but it was obviously somebody's Chain or Chainette. Are there any maker's marks just forward of the flats? Many thanks for posting!

Each tube is stamped ahead of the flats with a "D" and a sideways 4. The flats are stamped with 4 digit serial number followed by P.D.. I have not seen these letters on a Baker before. The gun is a "R' grade with two sets of barrels, same pattern.

Could it be 'B.D.'? Bauduin Doyen was a Nessonvaux damascus barrel and gun maker. They were part of Syndicat des Fabricants de canons de fusils de la Vesdre in 1907. 'BD' is pretty common on Smith's "Good 2 Rod Damascus"
