It has been reported in this sub-forum by an individual with the proper tools and experience for measuring, found through a very small sampling, that standard 12ga. Parker Reproduction DHE's had chokes starting at about 2" from the muzzle that taper out to the muzzle, the choke area of these standard guns have no chrome lining through the choke area. Whereas, the chokes of the Steel Shot Special begin about 2 9/16" from the muzzle and taper out to a point about 3/8" from the muzzle where the taper becomes parallel and flat out to the muzzle, the choke area of the SSS's have chrome lining through the choke area.
