Picked this one up recently.
Parker SC, serial no. 242359. According to a Remington memo dated April 21, 1942, 242359 was still sitting at the Remington Arms Works in Ilion, N.Y., and was the only SBT listed under “WHSE. STOCK APRIL 18TH OF ITEMS ORDERED BUT NOT RELEASED.” I know there is/was at least one SBT with a higher serial number, SC 242367. When this old girl left Ilion and where she went, we may never know. But she’s down in Georgia now.
