Default Case Color:

My best example is from 1904, but similar to a 30’s DHE I previously owned. Seeing this photo reveals a bit of crud near the trigger bow I hadn’t previously noticed. I added the old “outhouse” hammer gun for comparison.

Here's an example from 1930 that I just got today. It's only a Trojan, but it's absolutely stunning in hand.

A good example of what I call second generation of case colors. I call the distribution of colors splotchy.
