Those sand burrs are nasty, and seem to be more plentiful in quail cover, more so than pheasant cover. First time I ever ran into them was in Kansas.

Nice pictures Dan. Do you have to run boots on the dogs with those sandspurs?

We don’t Rick. Believe it or not most of the dogs just keep going. If it bothers them too much they come in and we clean out their feet and off they go. They really are amazing animals.
