I reload Winchester 572 for my 20 gauge loads. These are the loads I use. All taken off the Hodgdon Reloding Data Center and the first load Sent to Precision for testing by me.
16.8 Grns Winchester 573 Powder 7/8 Oz shot Federal Top Gun Hulls Remington STS 209 Primers CB 1075 20 Gauge Wads 1199 velocity 7233 PSI. The original Hodgdon load called for CB-1078 20 gauge wads, but the crimping was terrible, very hollowed out if you will. It was suggested I substitute that wad for the CB-1075 Wad and they crimp very nice. I sent this load to Precision before I shot it and the above are the tested result. My other go to Winchester 572 load is as follows, and was taken off the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center. Not tested by Precision. 15.5 Grns Winchester 572 Powder 7/8 oz lead Win 209 primer CB 1078 Wad Winchester AA Hulls 1150 Velocity 8100 PSI

One caveat about 3/4 oz 20 gauge loads: a buddy shoots these almost exclusively and has found that lite 20 gauge loads will not always reset an inertia trigger. 7/8 oz no problem so he only shoots 3/4 oz in a DT gun

I'd be curious to what his loads are. I shoot my 3/4oz 20ga loads in a Perazzi, a Browning and an 1100 and they function fine. They are 1200/7500psi using either 20/28 or Unique.

Daryl, he uses 20/28 but I don’t know the weight of the load. The load functions erratically in a Perazzi and a Famars. He sent the Famars to G&H to adjust the inertia block but they wouldn’t do it

I've never had a problem with the Perazzi or the Browning but he also may have the problem by the way he holds the gun. Meaning he doesn't hold it firmly enough against his shoulder or loosely in his hands. I also shoot a 1200fps,3/4oz load in my MX2000 12ga Perazzi and it trips the transfer block.
