Beautiful array of projects.

For a lot of my growing up years my father's step-up varmint rifle from his Model 54 .22 Hornet was a pretty little made in Ferlach, Austria, top-lever, break-action single shot in .22 Savage High-Power (aka 5.6 x 52R) with single set trigger in a rhino horn trigger guard, Greener side safety and a barrel that started octagon and tapered to round. He loaded it with 63-grain .227" diameter bullets from Sisk. By the time I was in college the little Austrian's accuracy was falling off and it got traded for a Sako Vixen heavy barrel .222 Remington Magnum. Another now obscure cartridge.
