I wish I had taken a picture of the stock head of the Repro I recently had apart. It had a wooden bridge in the same location as Jim's pin. I assume that it came from the factory that way but I don't know. Either way it is a very good feature given that these stocks seem to split in this same area fairly often. Like a cross bolt in a rifle, its a good preventative devise. By the way, nice job and good tutorial Jim - thanks.
