There is a small, privately owned company near me that deals in medical waste. They pick it up from doctors'offices, clinics, etc. and properly dispose of it. Years ago I was in a mechanic's shop where the owner had just cut himself rather drastically on the hand while making a new hydraulic hose, AIR. The owner of the medical waste disposal service was there and commented that he once cut himself similarly while salvaging a titanium joint from a cadaver, or the limb of a cadaver.

Being a bit surprised that such was done I commented "Yeah, and I'll bet that they clean 'em up and reuse them and charge new prices for them. The look on his face was priceless, like the cat that was caught with the canary in its' mouth. He excused himself and beat a hasty retreat, pronto.
