There was a good turnout for the Vintage Cup last year, both shooters and exhibitors and shoppers. However, the people running the shoot and the exhibit space did not give a good showing. The facilities were not acceptable in many ways and many attendees are not ready to go back. That said, I will attend because I will sleep in my own bed and not stay for three days. By the way, when the Vintagers was formed in 2000, (information on their website) the PGCA was well underway and had been for seven years (information on their website). The Vintagers is not the organization it was in the early years. We hope it recovers.

The two Vintagers websites can't seem to agree when "four friends" formed the organization. The two sites are six years apart in dating their inception. Oh, well.

IT DOES NOT REALLY MATTER DOES IT. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE ,THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THEY WERE FIRST TO ORGANISE A VENUE FOR SIDE BY SIDE SHOOTERS TO GET TOGTHER AND SHOOT A COMPETITION FOR S X S ONLY. THEY ALSO WERE THE FIRST OR ONE OF FIRST TO SENT UP FOR VENDORS AT SUCH AN EVENT. I KNOW THAT THERE WERE MANY DIFFERENT CHALLENGES THEY FACED IN KEEPING IT GOING. I JUST FEEL THAT AS ONE OF THE EARLY MEMBERS I SHOULD RECOGNIZE WHAT THEY DID FOR OUR SPORT, AND EVEN THROUGH IT IS ON A DOWNSLIDE, I WILL SUPPORT THEM. Like I said, I will attend this year's event, hoping it will improve over last year.
