2024 BigWhoop competition rules

Daryl set up a very difficult test for the BigWhoop 8ga event and it was reflected in the scores.
We had a six way tie for first place with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place determined by long run from the front.
The high score was 2 for 10 shot by Daniel Bawell, Caleb Bawell, Craig Larter, Mike Smith, Craig Thompson and Mark Kircher.
Mike Smith 1st, Mark Kircher 2nd, Caleb Bawell 3rd.

Thanks to all who played the game. It's great fun watching you fellows shoot guns that should be lashed to a punt. :roll: I'm always open for suggestions to improve this event. The pairs were changed to report from simo which were thrown last year.

FYI- A gentleman who I never met wanted to shoot the BigWhoop with his 12ga and scored a 3. I'm glad he didn't play the money or else I would have had to make a decision if it was legit.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

It's a no-brainer, only an 8 bore or larger for score. The 12 can shoot the regular BW event. I want to see one of us roll up with a 4 bore!!

I gotta admit shooting thirty on the course and then a pair of 10 rounders on your event were a bit tiring . Shooting fifty relatively quickly with the 8 is about all I need

I'll give you 8ga cowboys credit for reviving those cannons. At least it keeps you out of the bars at night.

Well,

We currently have 4 bore hulls, and some other reloading paraphernalia, but no gun to shoot them in.

And yes, it needs to be a double, why, just my preference
